Travis believes in himself, and we at HERO that will take him as far as he wants to go! Be sure to read on, learn about this awesome young man, and look out for him if he's your next competitor.

Why do you enjoy wrestling?

I like that wrestling is a team sport but I’m out there on the mat alone trying to win my matches.

What's the most important thing wrestling has taught you?

I can overcome challenges I didn’t think were possible to beat.

What's the best advice your coach has given you?

No matter how bad you lost a match, there’s always the next one to look forward to and to get my head straight.

How do you handle tough defeats?

I think about the next match. And my dad always reminds me of “Hakuna Matata” – no worries and move forward to the next thing in life.

What’s your proudest achievement as a wrestler?

I like to see younger kids I’ve helped do well in their own matches.

What's your favorite wrestling move?

The suicide cradle.

Do you have a hero/role model?

I look to my twin brother for support, guidance and competition. We might fight but we’re always there for each other when it really matter.

What's your favorite subject in school?

I have two - Band and Art!

Do you play any sports aside from wrestling?

Football, basketball, and track and field.

Do you have any other hobbies outside of wrestling?

Band, art, Magic: The Gathering, video games, writing, camping, fishing, playing chess.

What are your goals for your wrestling career?

I hope to get to state next year and continue through high school. (Also, to win the Hero Wrestling Quest.)

What are your goals for the next 1-5 years?

To earn an academic scholarship to college and to give 110% effort in all challenges thrown at me.

.What is your biggest area where you could improve?

Organization of my school things, my room and my time.
